We are currently seeking a highly motivated Agile Product Owner to join our Operations Automation team. In this exciting role, you will work with team of dedicated individuals committed to deliver results and support program objectives. The Agile Product Owner acts as an agile team member, serving as the customer proxy and is responsible for working with product management, deposit operations teams and other stakeholders. The product owner will provide team support in an agile environment while defining work and prioritizing the Team Backlog. The PO will play a significant role in the focus of the agile team and will accept stories as completed. He or she will work in a dynamic team environment to effectively deliver functionality needed to support various operations teams.

 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Involvement in preparation and execution of PI planning including drafting objectives and story definition

  • Employ an innovative mindsets & practices to product development (design-thinking, MVP, rapid prototyping, frequent feedback cycles, customer centricity)

  • Collaborate with key leaders to develop product requirements for automation of critical operational processes

  • Actively define and manage program backlog as well as implementation

  • Define and drive iterations and stories including establishing acceptance criteria

  • Act as a liaison with product managers to understand the features and challenges in product requirements


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Strong analytical skills, especially the ability to understand and document complex operational processes

  • Ability to discover and define technical requirements and their relationship to provide continuity in all major application solution decisions

  • Solid decision making, problem resolution, listening and team building skills.

  • Outstanding organizational skills, especially the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities

  • Strong presentation, facilitation and interpersonal skills.

  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities

  • Ability to work with various levels of leadership

  • Understand agile and SAFe methodologies and how this relates to an agile team

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in a computer or business-related discipline (Computer Science, Computer engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration or Management, etc) or equivalent work experience; Master's degree preferred

  • 6+ years of combined experience in product management, product development, software development and/or product support

  • Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies, particularly Agile/Scrum

  • Background in product development and/or product/program delivery 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience with process automation using tools like IBM Business Process Manager or Symantec Workflow

  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification

  • Experience as a product owner in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

  • Experience with Banking and Mobile Platforms
