Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field and 5+ years of experience in real estate appraisal, review, evaluation and/or related field. Commercial appraisal or valuation experience preferred.
  • A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
  • Certified General Appraiser license required.
  • MAI or AI-GRS designation preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of commercial RE appraisal principles, practices and applications, extensive knowledge of USPAP and Interagency Appraisal and Evaluation Guidelines, advanced knowledge of financial math/applications, financial modeling and discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis is required.
  • Must have advanced analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, both verbal and written.  Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with staff, bank management and vendors.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task.
  • Proficient in related appraisal software, Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
  • Knowledge or experience with the RIMS appraisal management system is desired.
