We are currently seeking a Business Continuity Coordinator to join our team in the Midvale, Utah office location.

You’ll be joining an industry leading Enterprise Business Resilience program - one that doesn’t just check boxes, but actively protects our people, customers, and reputation in an increasingly unpredictable threat environment. As a Business Continuity Coordinator, you will play a critical role in strengthening the bank’s ability to withstand, respond to, and recover from disruptive events.

 

This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in business continuity fundamentals, operational risk, disaster recovery, or related disciplines - who is ready to take ownership, grow into a trusted partner to the business, and contribute to a program that has full executive and board visibility.

 

 

Ideal candidates will have the skills and experience necessary to

 

  • Coordinate business continuity lifecycle activities (BIA, strategy development, plan maintenance and development, annual updates, exercises, after-action reviews, corrective actions).

  • Serve as a primary planning partner for assigned business units - guiding them through BIAs, risk discussions, recovery strategies, and professionally translate program expectations to the business.

  • Lead facilitated business impact assessments (BIA) and risk assessments to evaluate critical processes, dependencies, recovery capabilities and proactively identify risk.

  • Support the design, facilitation, and documentation of tabletop and simulation-based exercises across assigned business lines and functional areas.

  • Maintain program documentation, dashboards, and compliance records to support regulatory and audit requirements (FFIEC, OCC, Internal Audit).

  • Track and report on business continuity metrics, remediation items, after actions, and readiness indicators for leadership.

  • Help develop and mature data-driven insights around resilience posture, emerging risks, and program performance.

  • Support activation of the Crisis Management Framework, including status tracking, communication logs, and response coordination.

  • Contribute to after-action reviews and ensure lessons learned are translated into lasting program improvements.

  • Work alongside Disaster Recovery, Corporate Security, Supplier Resilience, and Operational Risk teams to advance a unified, enterprise-wide approach to resilience.

 

 

What you need to bring to the table:  

 

  • 1-4+ years of experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, operational risk, emergency management, or a related field

  • Ability to work professionally and confidently with business partners at multiple levels, including managers, department leaders, and executives as a trusted partner.

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines at the same time

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate technical requirements into plain-language guidance

  • Analytical mindset: able to interpret risk, recovery, and operational data and turn it into actionable insights

  • Ability to perform under pressure, remain composed during real-world incidents, and make efficient sound decisions, sometimes with incomplete information as events unfold

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Platforms (Excel, Word, PPT, SharePoint, etc.

     

 

Qualifications - Preferred:

 

  • Certifications (ABCP, CBCP, MBCI, ISO lead implementer, etc.) or desire to obtain one

  • Experience in banking, financial services, or another regulated industry

  • Familiarity with FFIEC, ISO 22301, NIST, or other continuity/resilience frameworks

  • Familiarity with business continuity tools (Fusion, Archer, ServiceNow, etc.)
