Zions Bank has just opened an opportunity for a Commercial Banking Regional Director based in Western Idaho.

We are seeking a Commercial Banking Regional Director with an entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for building something enduring. This leader will be energized by creating lasting success through market expansion, team development, and disciplined execution. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in C&I and Agricultural banking, understands how to uncover and capture high‑value opportunities, and is motivated to drive meaningful market penetration. This role calls for a hands‑on leader who can combine strategic vision with sales leadership, credit acumen, and a commitment to building profitable, long‑term client relationships across the Western Idaho market.
Ideal candidates will have these skills and experience:
- Oversee individual portfolio management and provide performance and sales coaching for Relationship Managers within the region.
- Demonstrated success in targeting clients and achieving results in Middle Market Commercial Banking.
- Lead, direct, and coordinate sales performance for a team of Relationship Managers, fostering a strong team environment.
- Direct and coordinate the region's credit operations for the business line.
- Implement approved credit policies and procedures.
- Drive the region's market share growth.
- Lead the development and implementation of business line lending credit, production, and budget goals.
- Oversee the region’s successful and profitable lending operation for business line lending.
- Approve, direct, and coordinate loan activities.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures while mitigating risk within the region.
- Manage all aspects of credit for the business line within the region.
- Recruit, train, and develop Relationship Managers within the team.
- Address and resolve business line credit issues effectively.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of commercial lending, credit analysis, credit structuring or other directly related experience.
- Advanced knowledge of commercial lending, credit analysis, credit structuring, underwriting and lending polices and procedures.
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience preferred.
- Proven experience in sales coaching with a track record of success as a sales leader and coach.
- Strong organizational, management, and customer service skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Capability to set and achieve long-term goals while maintaining high-quality work standards
- Bachelor's degree. A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
