Zions Bank Corporate Trust has opened an opportunity for a Corporate Trust Specialist in our office located in Salt Lake City. Corporate Trust serves as trustee, paying agent, escrow agent and third-party safekeeping/custodian for municipal, state and local agencies as well as corporate entities.

 

Ideal candidates will have the skills and experience necessary to:

 

  • Provide a variety of administrative and staff support services to the Trust team to include; monitoring and processing cash-flows, coordinating and executing transactional activity including investments, trades and cash settlement.
  • Assists clients with questions and help resolve client’s issues.
  • Prepare calculations (rates, debt service, accrued interest, etc.), internal reports, and audit confirmations.
  • Open and close accounts, monitor account compliance, and scan all account related documents.
  • Administer programs, projects and/or processes in support of Trust Operations.
  • Use your MS Office and Excel skills to perform a variety of clerical duties.
  • Remain flexible and perform other duties as assigned.

 

What your day will look like:

 

The Trust Specialist provides a variety of operational services to trust account relationships. You’ll assist administrators from all of our Corporate Trust offices by setting up and maintaining accounts, processing payments, and managing inventory of physical securities.  In addition, you’ll assist shareholders with questions and resolve shareholder problems.  You’ll serve as liaison with shareholders and others within and outside the company regarding administrative issues related to trust operations. You’re responsible for opening and closing accounts, processing principal, interest and dividend payments, monitoring account compliance and retention of account and payment related documents.

 

Ideal candidates will have the following skills and experience

 

  • Working knowledge of banking, trust operations or general office processes and functions.
  • General knowledge of trust products.
  • Solid customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work with both internal and external clients.
  • Must be accurate with solid attention to detail.
  • Strong data entry, research and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Remain flexible and perform other duties as requested.
