We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner for our Midvale, UT office.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state law (specifically UT, TX, NV, ID, AZ, CO, and CA) and federal employment laws and apply that guidance to reduce risk and ensure compliance.
- Advise leaders and employees on FMLA/ADA matters, including leave administration, accommodations, and interactive process support.
- Partner with leaders to deliver timely, high-quality HR guidance and programs aligned to business priorities.
- Lead organizational development and talent initiatives (org design, engagement, succession, leadership development, etc.) in partnership with business leaders.
- Coach leaders on performance management and employee relations (coaching, counseling, career development, performance interventions, employee relations, etc.) to optimize employee and department performance.
- Provide guidance on FLSA, job classifications, pay practices, and compensation decisions in coordination with the Compensation Department.
- Partner with leaders to strengthen engagement, retention, and team effectiveness; identify trends and implement targeted interventions.
- Analyze HR metrics (turnover, engagement, performance, employee history, compensation data, staffing, surveys, etc.) and deliver insights and recommendations to leaders.
- Interpret and apply HR policies and procedures consistently; advise leaders on appropriate actions and documentation.
- Resolve complex people issues with balanced solutions that support business goals, employee experience, and compliance.
- Be adaptable and take on additional assignments as business needs evolve.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge across key HR disciplines (workforce planning, compensation practices, organizational design, talent development, employee relations, risk management, performance management, and all federal and state employment law compliance including FMLA, ADA, FLSA and disability benefits.)
- Ability to translate business needs into HR priorities and communicate recommendations effectively to HR and business leadership.
- Proficiency with MS Office and HRIS; able to analyze data and present insights.
- Financial or Technical industry experience is a plus.
- 4+ years’ related experience
- Requires a bachelor’s in human resources, Business or a related field. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, and/or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

This position is a client facing position, working five days in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT. Our HR team values flexibility where appropriate to allow for work-life balance and in support of mental and physical health practices.
