We are seeking an Insurance Sales Manager to join Zions Bancorporation. The Insurance Sales Manager plays a key role in leading a diverse team to drive insurance sales, underwriting, and renewals. This position leverages extensive industry knowledge and strong client relationship skills to assess complex consumer risk needs and recommend tailored insurance solutions. The role is responsible for generating referrals, resolving issues creatively, and ensuring adherence to financial, risk, and regulatory standards. As a strategic leader, you will influence departmental structure, long-term planning, and performance standards, motivating managers and team members to achieve critical company objectives.


Responsibilities:
•    Lead and manage the activities of a diverse functional area through department supervisors/managers or professional employees.
•    Develop resolutions to complex problems requiring creativity and sound judgment within broadly defined policies and practices.
•    Ensure adherence to financial, risk, and regulatory restraints and schedules.
•    Conduct long-term planning to provide input into departmental goals, objectives, and future direction.
•    Develop and implement departmental policies, processes, and procedures.
•    Share responsibility for department budgets and performance standards.
•    Motivate managers, supervisors, and team members to accomplish established goals and objectives.
•    Interact with management, personnel, and clients on matters requiring coordination across organizational lines, including controversial situations and customer negotiations.
•    Influence department organizational structure and strategic initiatives.
•    Other duties as assigned.
 

Qualifications:
•    College degree required; a combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
•    Minimum of 6+ years in the insurance industry with experience in underwriting, sales, and renewals.
•    Insurance licensing required.
•    Extensive knowledge of insurance underwriting, sales, and renewals.
•    Strong sales and client relationship skills.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•    Ability to assess risk needs of complex consumers and recommend insurance solutions.
•    Ability to generate referrals and drive business growth.
•    Demonstrated ability to resolve issues and make decisions with latitude, impacting critical goals and company objectives.
 

Work Location: This position will be located at our downtown Salt Lake City, UT location.
