Zions Bank has just opened an opportunity for an International Banker based in the headquarters office location in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility for community engagement with The World Trade Center of Utah, World Trade Association and other Utah and Idaho state-level trade organizations.
- Plan and execute the Zions Bank Crossroads of the World International Trade Summit.
- Participate in trade missions/shows as approved.
- Manage the coordination of trade promotion programs.
- Leverage external export support resources for new-to-export small businesses.
- Active prospect/customer calling with an emphasis on small business, specifically focused on companies that do business or want to do business internationally.
- Act as a product champion for International Banking products within the Zions Bank affiliate in coordination with Enterprise International Banking.
- Develop and screen potential referrals to Enterprise International Banking.
- Coordinate activities and referrals with other business line leaders (i.e. Enterprise International Banking, FX, SBA, Commercial Banking, etc.).
- Participate in Enterprise International Banking meetings as directed by Enterprise International Banking.
- Refer international trade operations (letters of credit, documentary collections, etc.).
- Inquire to Enterprise International Banking Operations for handling Subject matter expert for SBA guarantee programs targeting small business exporters.
- Assist in developing and implementing goals and objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate individual production.
- Revise or create procedures to improve efficiency of workflow within department.
- Develop and service accounts.
Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
- A minimum of 4+ years of international banking, business development, lines of credit or other directly related experience.
- Managerial/Supervisory experience preferred.
- Requires knowledge of international banking sales, credit policies and procedures, letters of credit, credit analysis, transaction banking and payments.
- Excellent customer relations and business development skills.
- Excellent management and customer service skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to build strong working relationships.
- Understand the norms and practices within the global banking community.
- Ability to manage a budget, set goals and think strategically.
- Exhibit an exceptional degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness in decision making and problem solving.
