Our team is looking to fill a Loan Specialist position for our Ames, Iowa office location.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides administrative and/or operational support within the one or more of the following loan areas; processing, presentations, servicing, documentation, notes, etc.
May assist with closing and disbursements on a limited basis.
May clear identified loan exceptions. Maintains files, documents, notes, etc. as needed.
Responsible for verifying completeness of files with all necessary documents and signatures required.
Researches and resolves lending inquires and issues. Work with lenders in resolving discrepancies in various documentation.
Ensures all applicable laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures are followed.
May prepare and/or track disbursements, loan documents, reports, obtain credit and/or financial information.
May perform review of loan and collateral documents and loan packages to insure the bank's security interest and adherence to established policies and procedures.
May updates the loan system with pertinent collateral and collateral exception.
Qualifications:
Requires High School diploma or equivalent and some previous banking or loan processing, documentation, servicing or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
Basic knowledge of lending processes, principles, documentation, exceptions, collateral review, payments and loan systems.
Knowledge of general banking process and procedures helpful.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must have good organizational and customer service skills.
Must be accurate, possess numeric and verbal aptitudes.
Good research and audit skills.
Ability to work in a fast pace enviroment, complete processes and meet deadlines.
Working knowledge pc's and various word processing, spreadsheet or related software.
