Zions Bancorporation has just opened a fully remote opportunity for a Marketing Officer. This role will essentially be an internal marketing relationship manager to selected enterprise product groups (i.e., Enterprise Commercial Products – Treasury Management, Commercial Lending, etc.)  This is a rare opportunity to join an elite team of Marketing professionals, and to collaborate with business leaders throughout the organization in the Midvale, Utah office location, the Zion Technology Center.


Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • Expanding the company's product sales, as well as planning, implementing, and developing promotional and marketing initiatives.
  • Driving go-to-market strategies, launches, and campaigns owning the marketing experience for the Commercial segments.
  • Owning strategy for segment-specific, multi-channel integrated campaigns to meet/exceed sales goals.
  • Developing briefs, integrated marketing plans and project managing marketing initiatives from creative development through to launch.
  • Partnering with product management, marketing leadership, and channel marketers to develop segment-focused marketing strategies to ensure the local market's service and sales goals are exceeded and promoting the bank's service and sales.
  • Seeking-out marketing and sales opportunities.
  • Communicating and working with bank departments and provide guidance on sales and marketing initiatives and promotions.
  • Assisting with marketing research, strategy, advertising, market area development and/or product and services acceptance.
  • Taking on other duties as needed to ensure the success of the team and company.
  • Developing relationships and helping to liaison between Affiliate Bank brands and marketing teams and Enterprise lines of business.

What successful candidates will bring to the table:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or other related field and 4+ years of experience in banking and bank products and services, sales, and marketing preferably in a bank setting or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
  • Extensive knowledge of sales and marketing, banking, bank products and services.
  • Experience with digital marketing campaigns.
  • Experience developing integrated campaigns and strategy leveraging paid, earned, and owned marketing channels.
  • Proven ability to develop, execute, and communicate a long-term strategic vision while also balancing immediate priorities and opportunities in a dynamic, rapidly-changing, process-dependent, team-based environment with multiple internal decision makers and stakeholders.
  • Strong knowledge of bank services and products.
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to be a team player, flexible, excellent communicator (both written and verbal), results-oriented, service-oriented, with a passion for creativity and innovation
  • Must have initiative, tack, and diplomacy.


Location Amenities:

This position is a remote position, but if a candidate is hired locally then there is an option to go into the office at the Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT periodically.
