What you need to bring to the table:   

  • Requires a Bachelor’s and 2+ years of experience in the fields of public finance/municipal bond investment banking work/or banking, accounting, or finance related to governmental entities.
  • Some experience with municipal debt issues, identifying, structuring and closing transactions. A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
  • Solid knowledge of public finance/municipal bond investment banking work and municipal debt issues 
  • Ability to identify, structure and close transactions.
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting or finance related to government entitles. 
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Ability to clearly and succinctly express complex financial concepts both verbally and in writing. 
  • Superior expertise in managing multiple project-oriented tasks and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while being team-oriented.
  • Excellent problem resolution and organizational skills.
  • Ability to learn Federal Tax Law as it relates to municipal finance as well as statutory financing rules and regulations.
  • Must possess a high level of motivation, initiative and leadership skills.
  • Requires outstanding analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Proven strategic thinking, communication, time management, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Ability to quickly learn other finance-related software products as needed.
  • Ability to lead and train lower level staff.
