We are seeking a Process Engineer to join Zions Bancorporation. The Process Engineer plays a key role in helping Zions in its process transformation journey. You will leverage skills and tools like process reengineering, process mining, task mining, and intelligent process transformation. You will challenge the status quo, provide thought leadership and collaborate with stakeholders to optimize efficiencies and mitigate risk. You will partner with business owners, business process automation, technology, data and risk to execute on project that provide operational efficiencies.
The Process Engineer will:
- Support the identification, assessment and delivery of operational improvement opportunities using a variety of levers including analytics, process improvement, automation, etc.
- Document the current business processes and gain a solid understanding of business units and their processes.
- Collect data for various types of business lines. Analyze data and communicate the results of analysis in written and verbal form to managers.
- Help business teams design and optimize their processes. Implement measures so they know if those optimizations are achieving their goals.
- Maintain and improve process flow charts and relevant documentation.
- Partner with the business unit to heighten familiarity of enterprise operational excellence techniques and tools
- Provide project management support across the end-to-end lifecycle of an engagement, including documenting requirements and test cases.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 4+ yrs experience in process mining, task mining, process mapping, process transformation, process sustainability, extracting, transforming and analyzing data or other directly related experience.
- Lean or six sigma Certification a plus
- Strong analytical skills
- Must have keen problem-solving skills
- Ability to examine facts, complete root cause analysis, question the status quo, and perform research,
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, MIS/CIS, or related field. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications
- Process Mapping (i.e. MS Visio, Blueworks Live, etc.)
- Value Stream Mapping
- Process Mining or Task Mining experience a plus
Location:
This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah. Located on the former Sharon Steel Mill superfund site, the sustainably built campus will be the company’s primary technology and operations center.
