We are currently seeking a Head of CMBS Structuring & Pricing (Real Estate Capital Markets Director) to join our team and be a founding member of the CMBS lending group within the Real Estate Capital Markets (“RECM”) division with additional growth opportunities presented as RECM product offerings are expanded. This position is in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Remote locations will be considered. 

The focus of this role is…

Responsibilities:  

  • Work with the Head of Real Estate Capital Markets to develop and recommend real estate objectives, goals, and procedures for RECM.
  • Complete oversight of CMBS pricing, structuring and hedging activities.
  • Responsible for loan-by-loan break-even pricing.
  • Monitor market conditions, issuance trends, and structuring details of comparable transactions.
  • Primary liaison with partner issuers, underwriters and B-piece buyers regarding structuring and risk distribution decisions.
  • Management of internal loan warehousing, accounting, and reporting as required within the bank.

Education/Certifications: 

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree.
  • 10+ years of relevant quantitative experience.

Specialized Knowledge/Qualifications:

  • Ability to maintain relationships with securitization partners and work effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Extensive securitization experience, including tape construction, term sheet preparation, and securitization accounting.
  • Deep familiarity with all major rating agency methodologies and potential impacts on pricing.
  • On-going monitoring of potential industry or regulatory issues that could impact RECM.
