We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and modernization of digital workplace systems. This role combines deep technical expertise in enterprise infrastructure with a strategic focus on enhancing the digital employee experience. This Systems Engineer will drive innovation through automation, emerging technologies, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver secure, scalable, and user-centric solutions. A strong understanding of agentic AI workflows and their application in enterprise environments is essential to enable intelligent automation and adaptive operations.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement robust infrastructure and digital workplace solutions that align with business objectives and IT strategy.
Contribute to technical strategy, roadmap, and architectural design for end-user computing and digital experience platforms.
Ensure solutions meet operational requirements and adhere to IT standards and governance.
Apply DevOps principles to streamline deployment pipelines and infrastructure automation.
Drive modernization initiatives to improve digital workflows and employee experience through innovative technologies.
Collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams, ensuring alignment with business and product goals.
Lead resolution of complex platform issues, including root cause analysis and long-term remediation.
Evaluate emerging technologies and champion strategic implementations that enhance productivity and engagement.
Develop onboarding materials, technical documentation, and training resources for stakeholders.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing.
Leverage automation and AI-driven solutions—including agentic AI workflows—for monitoring, predictive analytics, and operational orchestration.
Demonstrate emotional intelligence and empathy when interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
8+ years of systems engineering experience related to digital workplace or end-user computing.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
Demonstrated expertise in unified endpoint management and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Intune, Autopilot, Entra ID, SCCM, Copilot variants/Copilot Studio and Conditional Access policies.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Strong understanding of architectural concepts and solution design with experience demonstrating ability to articulate business cases to modernize across a variety of platforms and tools.
Experience with agentic AI workflows and emerging AI technologies for enterprise automation and orchestration with proven ability to apply automation methodologies (RPA) in complex environments.
Ability to lead initiatives and mentor technical staff while collaborating effectively across all organizational levels.
Location:
This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
