Zions Bancorporation is currently seeking a Talent Development Consultant to join our Learning & Development team. Zions Bancorp prides itself on creating best banking relationships and to do this we must continue to build and develop a team of intelligent contributors who can add value to our clients’ businesses and build deep roots in the communities we serve and our Talent Development Consultants are an instrumental part of doing this.


Position Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for coordination, implementation and tracking of Talent Development programs and initiatives.
  • Collaborates with HR Partners and business leaders to assess, identify and document high potential employees including strengths, areas of opportunity, 9-block segment and recommended development opportunities.
  • Works directly with high potential employees to establish individual development plans.
  • Collaborates with business leaders to summarize talent review documentation for enterprise rollup.
  • May assist with documenting business unit succession planning.
  • Makes recommendations for development priorities to instructional design and facilitation teams to ensure efficient use of training resources.
  • Establishes and maintains key metrics and measurements for talent development programs.
  • Responsible to tracking an monitoring team expenses and budgeting.
  • Assist with other duties when needed to support the L & D team.




  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in organizational development, psychology, learning or a related field and some experience in talent management, organizational development, leadership development, or other directly related experience.
  • A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
  • Basic working knowledge of organizational, leadership and employee development.
  • Knowledge of organizational development and talent assessment tools, techniques and practices, including 9-box/potential-performance (or similar) tools.
  • Ability to assist with long-term planning for employee development programs.
  • Solid presentation, facilitation and influence management skills.
  • Solid coaching and consultation skills.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to navigate organizational structures and consult with management.
  • Exhibits a high degree of ingenuity, creativity and resourcefulness in decision making and problem solving.
  • Ability to write/rewrite training materials.
  • Strong presentation and people skills.
  • Must have good understanding of technology, time management and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to conduct and facilitate training courses.
  • Ability to evaluate, track and analyze program effectiveness.
