Financial Data Analyst - Salt Lake City - Hybrid Schedule
We are currently seeking a Financial Data Analyst as part of our FP&A SQL and Modeling team within the Financial Planning and Analysis department.

The Financial Data Analyst will be responsible for using SQL to develop and maintain multiple financial models that impact profitability analysis, pricing guidance, and financial forecasting and budgeting. Other responsibilities include validating data, researching issues, building dashboards and reports, and maintaining process and model documentation. You will collaborate with teams from Finance, Accounting, and Data Office to report on and analyze financial data and deliver insights that drive the company’s growth and profitability.
Requirements:
- Experience using SQL to query and manipulate large data sets and perform calculations; Familiarity with concepts including but not limited to joins, subqueries, case statements, update statements, date and time functions, string and text manipulation, window functions, and common table expression.
- Specific knowledge of relational databases and general knowledge of data warehouse processes.
- Experience using Power BI or similar data visualization tools to build meaningful, complex reporting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with data validation and testing, process documentation, and technical writing.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Power Apps or other low-code automation tools is a plus.
- General knowledge of banking products and financial statements is a plus.
- Ability to communicate effectively to a large variety of audiences, from finance to data engineers.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- A desire and an ability to find ways to continually improve processes and drive efficiency.
Qualifications:
- 2-4+ years of related work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (computer science, statistics, finance, etc.) is required.
- Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline may substitute for experience.
