Zions is seeking a Technology Operations Support Manager

 

Zions Bancorporation is seeking a Technology Operations Support Manager within the Technology Reliability, Engineering and Operations (TREO) Frontline Group.  This is a key frontline manager role and requires previous technology management experience and someone who will lead by example in identifying and implementing new ideas and process improvements.  The Technology Operations Support Manager will be primarily responsible for leading the Technology Operations area of TREO including Production Control, Data and File Transmissions and other key technology components in a 24x7 environment.  A successful leader in this area will get the right people doing the right things at the right time.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing employee performance, development and career advancement for your team.
  • Establish, monitor, and ensure achievement of department goals and objectives including maintaining aggressive Service Level Agreements and quality metrics.
  • Set, measure, and manage Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and ensure proper documentation of policies and procedures for operational and regulatory requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a manager in a technology operations role
  • Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field and 6+ years’ experience in areas aligned to Information Technology (IT) operations support as noted above. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; must be able to communicate effectively across business lines and functional areas.
  • Experience creating, improving, and maintaining IT Operations documentation and Runbooks.
  • Ability to produce, publish, and distribute operational reports pertaining to the status of operational functions and processes.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills and proven ability to make sound decisions.
  • Experience organizing team artifacts, projects, and work queues.
  • Act as a liaison with various departments, management, and staff to resolve problems and improve processes and procedures.
  • Ability to review, analyze, and evaluate technical processes and procedures.

 

Flexibility and Location:

 

This opportunity will be located in our brand new Zions Technology Center.

(We have a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days at home if you are within the Salt Lake City area)

 

The Zions Technology Center is a 400,000-square-foot technology campus in Midvale, Utah. Located on the former Sharon Steel Mill superfund site, the sustainably built campus will be the company’s primary technology and operations center.  This modern and environmentally friendly technology center will enable Zions to continue to compete for the best technology talent in the state while providing team members with an exceptional work environment with features such as:
